Bush's Policies weren't enough for McCain, He wanted Bush in Lipstick

I posted a diary earlier this week saying Palin was Bush in Lipstick.  I like the latest memo of saying Palin will get along great in Washington - cause she's acted just like any other politician.

It wasn't enough for McCain to adopt all of Bush's Policies he had to have someone on the ticket that was "George Bush in Lipstick".

Creationist, governor with "executive" experience, abuse of power, barely traveled outside the U.S.   etc...

A core Democratic talking point against Sarah Palin is beginning to take shape: she is, critics say, the female counterpart of the current President of the United States, not only in terms of policy and social conservatism, but even personality.

"She's not a pitbull in lipstick," said one female Democratic operative, referencing a line from Palin's convention speech. "She's George Bush in lipstick."

From her hard-right stances on abortion and contraception and the deep affection she engenders from conservative evangelical leaders, to her involvement in a possible "abuse of power" scandal in Alaska and even her charming demeanor, some see in Palin the second coming of the 43rd president.

...

Obama himself made the Palin-Bush comparison during his Sunday appearance on ABC's This Week, calling her "somebody who may be even more aligned with George Bush - or Dick Cheney, or the politics we've seen over the last eight years - than John McCain himself is."

The Newsweek article just confirms it (none / 0)

I didn't realize that she named a friend who was an Insurance attorney to be Attorney General. Christ almighty, can you say Harriet Miers?

She is exactly like Bush. But at least it seems like the article names as her political mentor, the founder of the AIP, promotes one of the most blatantly socialist agendas I've ever seen. So at least we'll get to see William Kristol's head explode when he realizes she's not completely on board with the whole platform.

Seriously, can you imagine the uproar if Obama just outright said that we should raise taxes on corporations and just hand that money out? For no reason other than just that they owed the country?

More like the current VP to me (none / 0)

Personally, I find her more like Cheney, smart, arrogant, amoral.

Yes, I mean amoral, because having a ideological code doesn't mean anything when you don't follow it.

From what I have gleaned from her policies, she is strictly a Christianist, not a follower of Jesus,

Maybe supply-side Jesus, or M-16 Jesus?

I really don't think it's particularly Christian values to butcher Caribou by hunting them from a Helicopter....

Dominion over the earth doesn't mean sadistically slaughtering it.

She is WAY more likely to tell the press to go F-themselves, Bush really believes all the crap people told him, he's an egostically toad, he IS a low information voter.

Palin is a ruthless opportunist, much like Cheney.

Plus, it's even worse.  She really IS a creationist, probably a Rapture believer?

Yes, someone with their figure on the nuclear trigger who believes Israel going up in a blazing Armageddon is good news....

On Nov 4th, Barack Obama officially ends the Southern Strategy....

Gov Palin thinks that Alaska is the last refuge for mankind when Jesus comes back to earth.  That is dumb, everybody knows that Israel is the home of the last refuge.  Come on.  LOL.
